5 Songs That Make Me REALLY Happy

No judging

"Three Little Birds"

Bob Marley and the Wailers

“Don't worry about a thing, cause every little thing is gonna be alright.”

How can you go wrong with such a simple message? This is an all time classic reggae song that I find myself singing in the parking lot until it's over. No hitting the scan button when this one comes on, mon, :)

You can listen to it and buy the album, Exodus, HERE

"True Love" and "So What"

P!ink

"So so what, I'm still a rock star, I've got my rock moves"
"At the same time, I wanna hug you. I want to wrap my arms around your neck. You're an asshole, but I love you..."

I couldn't choose just on P!nk song, but these two are the ones that no matter how crappy I'm feeling, will ALWAYS put a smile on my face! P!nk makes me want to be a super badass version of myself. Hanging upside down. :)

Listen to and buy "So What" on Funhouse (also includes "Glitter in the Air")

Listen to and buy "True Love" on The Truth About Love (Also includes "Slut Like You" and "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)"

"December, 1963" (Oh What a Night)

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

When Frankie sings "What a lady, what night", I admit it, I blush a little

I wasn't even born is 1963, but I'll tell you what, put this song on and I am that girl!

Here's the single on Amazon. It's the best couple bucks you can spend today.

"Heads Carolina, Tails California"

JoDee Messina

"Heads Carolina, tails California, somewhere greener, somewhere warmer. Up in the mountains, down by the ocean, where it don't matter as long as we're going somewhere together, I've got a quarter..."

This was one of the two lullabies that I sang to my son for years. It's all about flipping a coin to figure out where your next move is going to be. Heck, we even had a little dance. :) It was so meaningful to us that we made sure we would never forget it. That's my back on the left, right below my neck, and his very first tattoo on the right.

You can buy JoDee Messina here. It is a FANTASTIC album if you like newer country. Give "You wanna Make Something of It?" a listen!

"American Idiot"

Green Day

"Don't wanna be an American idiot Don't want a nation under the new mania And can you hear the sound of hysteria? The subliminal mind-f&%k America "

This one can be somewhat embarrassing. No matter what I am doing when it comes on, I am instantly at a concert, jumping up and down and doing things that I know are going to give me a headache in the morning. And I don't care. The drums in this song make it next to impossible to stay in your seat which can be a GREAT thing, but not say on a plane. Or at work. I learned those the hard way.

If you get a chance, go see the American Idiot stage production. My son and I saw it in Hershey, PA and it was PHENOMENAL
